RESILIENT

Restoring your humanity in an inhumane environment

A 12 week group coaching program with Lisa Kavanaugh and Nate Singer

What do we mean by inhumane?

Our environment is constantly bombarding us with signals that our bodies interpret as danger. Our bodies are not built for the volume and intensity of these inbound signals.

Understanding the basics of our own nervous systems allows us to understand our reactions to the environment around us and how we can create safety to feel more peaceful, courageous and connected.

We can also use this same understanding of how our nervous system responds to our environment to ease the stress of the different ways boundaries show up in our day-to-day existence

Why this program?

Most clients we see blame themselves for feeling exhausted and overwhelmed in the modern world.  Yet when we ask them to look around and see if friends and family are also exhausted and overwhelmed, they see it everywhere.

When we understand the biology of our environmental responses, we are able to access more self compassion and reduce the shame. By creating awareness we can pause to reach for tools that work for us and move through the world with more ease.

We understand this struggle, we’ve been there. That’s why we have designed this small group program to help you understand the physiological causes of burnout and create a personalized toolbox to reclaim your energy, joy, and desire to connect.

If your body is telling you that this is the support you need right now, this program is for you.

What Clients Are Saying About RESILIENT…

This program truly changed my life. It is entirely built around helping YOU to find the tools that work FOR YOU, with no finger-wagging about which tools should work for you if they work for others. This course will help you figure out how to help yourself in a supportive, non-judgmental, healing space.

— Morgan F. in Seattle, WA

“I just finished the first 12 weeks experience with Lisa, Nate and the best group! We have grown together and gained an awareness of our amazing nervous system. The awareness helps you understand and use tools to keep this fast paced life from overwhelming and disregulating your nervous system. Tuning in and taking the time so you can be your BEST self during some of the most challenging times. Looking forward to continuing this practice and learning more.

It has been a positive life changing experience.

— Hannah M. in Fairbanks, Alaska

I would absolutely recommend this program to anyone who finds themself in constant or recurring states of functional freeze. I was living in functional freeze for a number of years and struggled to know how to get out of it. This program helped me to understand why/how our nervous system operates the way it does and provides real, easy to use tools to help regulate during triggering times, and also maintenance for those of us who live in fear of our emails!”

— Becky K. in Alberta, Canada

This program is changing my life and the lives of my clients and I'm only in week four of this program. If you have ever felt frozen, angry, frustrated, scared, or deep angst - take this program. We've already learned hands-on, practical ways to get our bodies out of reactive mode and into calmer states.”

— Janice L. in Seattle, WA

About Lisa Kavanaugh

In my former life I was a CTO/Chief Product Officer in a tech company, always on, ready to put on my superwoman cape, save the day and get the gold star. I earned many promotions and accolades, as well as a gut so full of stress induced ulcers that I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Crohn’s disease.

Two years later I quit my job, took a year off to travel the world, became an Executive Coach and never “went back”. Since then I’ve worked with countless clients trying to make an impact, live fuller lives, and struggling with their own flavor of burnout. My curiosity to understand how we can PLAY BIG without sacrificing our wellbeing led me to train with Brené Brown, Dr. Dan Siegel and Deb Dana (Polyvagal Theory) among other incredible teachers.

I wish I knew then what I know now. That instead of thinking something was wrong with me, I could learn what was happening inside of me. That by doing so with curiosity and compassion we can change our lived experience. I believe this is a superpower we can and should all learn to wield.

When I’m not geeking out on nervous system work and coaching, you can find me adventuring around the world and planning my next costume party.

About Nate Singer

I work as a Somatic Practitioner with the aim of helping my clients become friends with their bodies again.  I had to learn this process myself through a long and difficult stretch of crippling Lyme Disease followed by years of chronic pain and nervous system dysregulation.  I have studied the physiological model and techniques that were the most effective for me and offer those to my clients, while also understanding that there is no “magic bullet” and that gaining a deep understanding of one’s own nervous system can be a guiding light on the road back to feeling great.

I am especially passionate about working with people struggling with grief, chronic pain, and burnout.  I know that living in these situations can be frustrating, isolating, or seemingly impossible so I try to bring some lightheartedness and a sense of positivity to this work.  But not, you know, the annoying kind. I am certified in Tension and Trauma Release Exercises, Counseling, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and Polyvagal-Based Coaching.  I’m a lifelong lover of sports, cooking, creative writing, and being in, on, and around the water.

What if I am not suffering from burnout, is this program still for me?

Yes! We use nervous system regulation to set better boundaries in our lives so the things we are reacting strongly to, we can now react more calmly to. That in turn allows us to take on life’s challenges with more confidence knowing we can recover when we feel overwhelmed and avoid getting “stuck” in a fight/flight which eventually leads to burnout.

What if I want more 1:1 time with Lisa or Nate?

If you and Lisa and/or Nate determine you need more 1:1 time to achieve your goals, we will direct you to book a session with them for that focused attention.
